Jakarta, April 9 -- Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said post-disaster recovery efforts in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra are still ongoing.

"Our work in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra is not yet finished," he said in Jakarta on Thursday.

He added that operations will continue until April, with rotating teams of volunteers and field staff.

Dody expressed appreciation for personnel involved in restoring road access and basic infrastructure in affected areas.

"I would like to thank my colleagues for their dedication over the past few weeks. Stay strong, as we still have much to do," he said.

In addition to restoring roads and infrastructure, recovery efforts also include restoring clean water supply.
