Jakarta, June 21 -- The Indonesian government will offer discounted fares across rail, sea, ferry and air transport during the 2026 school holidays to support mobility, household spending and tourism, Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said.

"The government is again implementing transportation fare discounts during the 2026 school holiday period and the Christmas and New Year holidays," Purwagandhi said in a statement on Saturday.

He said the policy reflects the government's commitment to providing safe, secure, comfortable and affordable transportation services during periods of heightened travel demand.
