Jakarta, Sept. 4 -- Indonesia's Foreign Ministry is facilitating the repatriation of a 21-year-old Indonesian worker who died in a workplace accident at a manufacturing plant in Hiroshima, Japan, the ministry said.

The victim, identified by the initials IK, was a participant in Japan's Technical Intern Training Program (TITP) who moved from Central Java in June 2024.

He died on Wednesday, September 2, after becoming trapped in an industrial paint mixer at a manufacturing plant in Otake, Hiroshima, the ministry said in a statement received here Friday.
