Jakarta, Sept. 17 -- The Indonesian government is aiming to complete the drafting of a bill to revise the general elections law by 2026 so it can be deliberated with the House of Representatives (DPR).
Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra said on Tuesday that the bill is expected to be finalized soon, allowing the General Elections Commission (KPU) to better prepare for the 2029 elections.
He emphasized that the general elections bill will be prioritized in discussions with the DPR.
