New York, Sept. 27 -- Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono has called on BRICS member states to take a role in pushing for reforms in global financial governance, stressing its importance for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

"BRICS has a vital role to play, not only through its development financing but also as a political platform to push for fairer global financial governance," said Sugiono during the meeting of the BRICS Ministers of Foreign Affairs held on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly High-Level Week in New York on Friday.
