Jakarta, Oct. 28 -- Deputy Minister of Defense Donny Ermawan Taufanto stated that Indonesia has not yet decided to purchase any BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles from India.
He acknowledged that discussions regarding the BrahMos missile system were brought up when Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin hosted the Chief of Defense Staff of the Indian Armed Forces in Jakarta on Tuesday.
"Oh, not yet," Taufanto said during a press conference following the meeting.
During the high-level meeting, India's CDS General Anil Chauhan explained that the BrahMos missile is currently utilized for various operations, including ground-to-ground, ground-to-sea, and air-to-ground capabilities.
