Jakarta, Aug. 8 -- Indonesia won one gold, two silver, and one bronze medal at the 2026 International Olympiad in Artificial Intelligence (IOAI) in Astana, Kazakhstan, held from Aug. 2-8.

Indonesian Ambassador to Kazakhstan and Tajikistan M Fadjroel Rachman said Indonesian students secured medals at the competition, which brought together more than 500 students from 106 countries.

"This is an extraordinary achievement and a birthday gift for Indonesia's 81st Independence Day," Fadjroel said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Saturday.

The gold medal was won by Luvidi Pranawa Alghari of Pribadi Beji High School. Silver medals went to Matthew Hutama Pramana of Kolese Loyola High School in Semarang and Nicholas Ardi Tirta of Santa Lau...
