Jakarta, Oct. 31 -- The Indonesian contingent brought home a total of 28 medals, including four gold, from the 2025 Asian Youth Games (AYG) in Bahrain, held from October 22 to 31.
According to the official AYG Bahrain 2025 results monitored here on Friday, Indonesia finished 15th overall, with four gold, six silver, and 18 bronze medals.
The first gold medal for the Red and White team was won by pencak silat athlete Furgon Habbil Winata in the men's 51-55 kilogram category, defeating Bahrain's Abdulla Qassim with a 81-10 score.
Weightlifting also contributed to Indonesia's gold tally, with Muhammad Rijal Abdillah excelling in the men's 60kg category. Abdillah achieved a personal best with a 143 kg clean and jerk lift.
