Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia has successfully clinched 25 medals at the Bangkok 2026 World Para Powerlifting Asia-Oceania Open Championships, boosting its chances of qualifying for the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Para Games.

"Based on our calculations, all the athletes can qualify for the Nagoya Games in line with our target," Indonesian national para-powerlifting team coach Coni Ruswanta said in a statement received on Tuesday.

The 25-medal haul comprises six gold, four silver, and 15 bronze, placing Indonesia in the 10th rank in the event, which was hosted by Thailand from April 7 to 12.
