Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto has emphasized that higher education and research must align with national development goals, particularly the eight priority sectors set by President Prabowo Subianto.

Speaking at the 2025 National Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI) in Bandung, West Java, on Thursday, Yuliarto outlined the eight priorities: food, energy, health, defense, maritime affairs, downstreaming and industrialization, digitalization (including AI and semiconductors), as well as advanced materials and manufacturing.
