Jakarta, Sept. 25 -- Indonesia has called on the international community to strengthen multilateral cooperation on climate resilience to mobilize the resources developing nations need to achieve their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).

Speaking at the Climate Security Dialogue on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on Wednesday (September 23), Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono said Jakarta views climate resilience as far more than just an environmental issue.

He emphasized that climate resilience intrinsically links to a nation's capacity to protect its people, safeguard livelihoods, and maintain economic stability amid shocks triggered by climate crises.
