Jakarta, Aug. 26 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has urged the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to mobilize all its resources to oppose Israel's plan to annex the Gaza Strip.
"The OIC must mobilize all its strength and resources to reject and stop Israel's plan to fully occupy Gaza and expand settlements in the West Bank," Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta said at an emergency ministerial session of the OIC in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday.
He warned that Israel's push to realize its vision of a "Greater Israel" and its ambition to assert full control over Gaza pose an existential threat to the survival and sovereignty of countries in the region.
