Indonesia unveils Prima to advance research-based policymaking
Jakarta, Aug. 10 -- Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), in collaboration with the Finance Ministry, launched a development policy research program called Prima as a strategic effort to promote science-driven policymaking.
BRIN Head Arif Satria noted that Prima was designed as an initiative dedicated to ensuring that all ministries and state agencies strictly base their policies on robust, evidence-based applied research.
"We have decided to carry out 177 research projects this year to contribute to resolving a wide range of challenges faced by ministries," he remarked, speaking during the launch event in Jakarta on Monday.
