Sumenep, East Java, Aug. 28 -- The Indonesian Health Ministry aims to vaccinate around 70,000 children in Sumenep within two weeks to protect them against measles.
While overseeing outbreak management in Sumenep, Madura, East Java, on Thursday, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that the government has prepared 11,000 vials of the measles vaccine. On average, each vial can cover shots for eight children.
"Our target is to complete the vaccination within two weeks. If we achieve this, it should significantly reduce the incidence of measles," he said.
