Indonesia, April 5 -- Agriculture Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman stated that three countries have requested urea fertilizer imports from Indonesia amid the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

"We will export urea because we are a producer, and several countries have requested it. Three countries have requested it," said the minister during a visit to the Panaikang Bulog warehouse, accompanied by Bulog Deputy Director Marga Taufiq, in Makassar on Sunday.

However, the minister did not reveal the countries involved as negotiations are still ongoing.

He hopes the agreement will provide added value and optimal benefits for Indonesia.
