Jakarta, Oct. 10 -- The government plans to begin developing additional outlets and warehouses for cooperatives under the Red and White Cooperatives (KDMP) program on October 15, aiming to boost rural economies, Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said.
However, he did not specify how many of the approximately 80 thousand village cooperatives nationwide are expected to benefit from the initiative this year.
"If possible, we aim to cover all of them," Juliantono told reporters after the Monthly Economic Diplomacy Breakfast organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) here on Friday.
