Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is preparing a 50 percent e-commerce fee discount for local micro and small businesses with maximum annual turnover of Rp15 billion (US$814 thousand).

The ministry's Deputy for Small Business, Temmy Satya Permana, said the policy is targeted to take effect by the end of October 2026.

"We have agreed on the discount, and the platform is ready. It will be operational by the end of October," he said on Wednesday.

He said the Minister of MSMEs has signed a ministerial decree serving as the program's legal basis, while the ministry's system is being integrated with SAPA UMKM.
