Jakarta, Aug. 13 -- The Ministry of Defense confirmed that Israel would not block Indonesia from delivering aid to war victims in Gaza.
The ministry's Secretary General, Lieutenant General Tri Budi Utomo, said on Wednesday that Israel is reportedly providing access to several parties, including Indonesia, to send logistical assistance to Gaza.
"From August 1 to August 24, Israel is allowing aid to enter," he stated at the send-off of logistical assistance by the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) to Gaza at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta.
Utomo did not elaborate on the reason for Israel's decision to allow aid deliveries.
