Jakarta, May 21 -- The Indonesian Quarantine Agency (Barantin) has formed special task forces to monitor the movement of sacrificial animals ahead of Eid al-Adha 2026.

Barantin Head Abdul Kadir Karding said the task forces had been established at regional technical executive units (UPT) and animal, fish, and plant quarantine centers (BKHIT) serving as major routes for sacrificial animal distribution.

"I chaired a meeting to ensure the establishment of task forces at each UPT and BKHIT serving as key routes for the movement of sacrificial animals," Karding said at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta on Thursday.
