Indonesia targets more Australian tourists beyond Bali
Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Indonesia is targeting more Australian tourists while promoting destinations beyond Bali and Jakarta through its "Go Beyond Ordinary" campaign in Sydney and Melbourne.
"We want to offer more diverse and high-quality travel experiences so Australian tourists explore more destinations in Indonesia," Tourism Ministry Deputy for Marketing Ni Made Ayu Marthini said.
Australia remains one of Indonesia's main tourism markets, supported by geographic proximity, direct flights and strong bilateral ties, Marthini said.
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded 1,754,791 Australian tourist visits in 2025, making Australia Indonesia's second-largest source market. Arrivals reached 864,750 through June 2026, up 6.29 percent.
