Indonesia plans to launch a National Command Center for its Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in mid-May 2026 to strengthen coordination and improve food service quality nationwide, an official said.

Deputy for Food Affordability and Security Coordination at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs Nani Hendiarti said the facility will oversee MBG implementation across Indonesia and enhance synergy between central and regional governments and stakeholders.

"So, the command center for the nationwide MBG program will be based at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs, and God willing it will be launched around May 17," she said in Jakarta on Sunday.
