Jakarta, July 20 -- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is targeting nationwide distribution of 50 percent biodiesel fuel (B50) at all gas stations by October 1, 2026.

"The target is to achieve full B50 distribution at all gas stations by October 1," the ministry's Director General of New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation, Eniya Listiani Dewi, said on Monday.

She said the implementation of the mandatory B50 program, which began on July 1, will be implemented in phases during a three-month transition period, before a comprehensive evaluation in December.

This three-month transition period is intended to allow fuel suppliers to deplete remaining B40 stocks and adjust the blending process to B50, she added.
