Jakarta, Sept. 25 -- Indonesia's Creative Economy Ministry is strengthening the halal ecosystem to help creative-economy products move up the value chain and compete more effectively in global markets.

In a press statement received here Friday, Creative Economy Minister Teuku Riefky Harsya said the rapid expansion of the global halal industry presents significant opportunities for Indonesia's creative-economy products.

"The global halal industry ecosystem is extraordinarily large. I have seen firsthand how countries are highly enthusiastic about strengthening protections within the global halal ecosystem. This is an extraordinary business ecosystem," Riefky said.
