Bandung, West Java, Nov. 7 -- Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko said the Interpol Global Hit Alert System (I-GHAS 24/7), linked to 196 member countries, improves the speed and accuracy of detecting international fugitives at border checkpoints.

He addressed that effective border control requires accurate technological support to prevent the threat of transnational crime from the point of entry into Indonesian territory.
