Jakarta, Aug. 7 -- Indonesia is strengthening post-consumer packaging management to accelerate manufacturing's transition to a green industry, aiming to improve competitiveness, expand the circular economy and support the sector's net-zero emissions target by 2050.

Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the green industry is a cornerstone of Indonesia's industrial strategy to ensure long-term sustainability and strengthen global competitiveness.

He said the strategy extends beyond cutting emissions, creating added value through higher production efficiency, technological innovation and a stronger circular economy.
