Indonesia signs halal industry cooperation deal with Kyrgyzstan
Indonesia, July 7 -- Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita advanced cooperation on the development of Indonesia's halal industry by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In Yekaterinburg, Russia, on Monday (July 6), Kartasasmita said the halal industry development is considered a priority, considering the growing global market demand for halal products.
According to him, this collaboration is expected to strengthen the competitiveness of the national halal industry and open wider market access for Indonesian halal products globally.
