Jakarta, Sept. 5 -- Indonesia's Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) has issued Regulation No 4 of 2026 to regulate the assurance of halal compliance for foreign products entering the country.

"This serves as an assurance guideline for halal foreign products that enter, circulate, and are traded within Indonesian territory," BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan said in a statement released here on Saturday.

Hasan explained that the regulation is designed to protect consumers by ensuring the halal status of imported goods while providing legal and operational clarity for enterprises.
