Jakarta, April 4 -- Indonesia's military on Saturday night repatriated the bodies of three peacekeepers killed in Lebanon, sending them to their hometowns for burial after a ceremony at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak led a military release ceremony, after which the coffins of Major (posthumous) Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, Chief Sergeant (posthumous) Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Second Corporal (posthumous) Farizal Rhomadhon were loaded onto two aircraft.
A C-130J Super Hercules transported Ichwan and Rhomadhon to Yogyakarta Province, where their remains will be handed over to families in Magelang, Central Java, and Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta, respectively.
