Jakarta, July 27 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Transmigration is seeking to learn from China's agricultural technology and governance to boost productivity in transmigration areas and support national food security.

Deputy Minister of Transmigration Viva Yoga Mauladi stated that participants in the Development of Transmigration Areas in Indonesia seminar in Beijing will study water and irrigation management, land-use optimization, and agricultural mechanization to boost production efficiency.

"We hope that by learning directly in China, we can adapt this knowledge into several transmigration areas," he said during a press conference in Jakarta on Monday.
