Jakarta, July 27 -- Indonesia has invited China to support the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital talent in priority sectors such as fisheries and agriculture.

"One of our main focuses in AI development is in the fisheries and farming sectors. We hope China will support us," said Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid in a statement on Saturday.

Following her recent meeting with Chinese Ambassador Wang Lutong, Hafid said Indonesia is committed to expanding the use of AI, citing its adoption in several agricultural areas across the country.
