Jakarta, July 31 -- Indonesia is seeking more Chinese investment to strengthen horticultural supply chains and exports, including through joint projects involving durian, avocado, mangosteen and red dragon fruit, Trade Minister Budi Santoso said.

Santoso made the remarks while meeting a business delegation from Jiangsu, China, in Jakarta on Thursday, expressing Indonesia's interest in expanding horticultural production and export capacity.

"We want Indonesia's abundant yields to be absorbed through exports. We are ready to facilitate investment, including by connecting investors with potential business partners," Santoso said in a statement on Friday.
