Jakarta, Nov. 2 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Saturday urged Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) member states to help Indonesia narrow its gap in technology and education, citing human resource quality as a key national challenge.
Speaking at the second session of the APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting (AELM) in Gyeongju, South Korea, Prabowo said Indonesia still lags behind other APEC economies in digital skills and education.
"We support APEC's cooperation to enhance digital skills. In the field of education, we feel Indonesia is behind the rest of the APEC economies," Prabowo said in a video released by the Presidential Secretariat on Sunday.
