Jakarta, Oct. 16 -- The Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) has officially terminated the contract of Patrick Kluivert and his coaching staff after the national team failed to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

"The PSSI and the Indonesian National Team Coaching Team have officially agreed on the early closure of cooperation through a mutual termination mechanism," the PSSI stated on its website on Thursday.

During his tenure with the men's senior national team, Kluivert was assisted by fellow Dutchmen Alex Pastoor and Denny Landzaat.

"This agreement was signed by the PSSI and the Coaching Team, marking the termination of a two-year-long cooperation contract," the association added.
