Jakarta, Oct. 27 -- The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) have confirmed their readiness to join a peacekeeping mission in Gaza if the government decides to deploy troops to the conflict-torn enclave.

TNI Information Center Chief Maj. Gen. Freddy Ardianzah said on Monday that the military is prepared to carry out any decision or policy made by the government, particularly a direct order from President Prabowo Subianto as the TNI Supreme Commander.

From a technical standpoint, he said, TNI troops are well-trained to undertake various missions, including military operations and military operations other than war (MOOTW), even in international conflict zones.
