Jakarta, Sept. 29 -- Indonesia's updated power master plan is set to unlock Rp2,133.7 trillion (around $119.2 billion) in investment opportunities through 2034, driven largely by clean energy and grid infrastructure expansion, a government official stated.

The investment potential under the 2025-2034 Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL) aims to build 69.5 gigawatts (GW) of new power generation capacity, according to the Investment and Downstreaming Ministry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).

Renewable energy will account for 61 percent (42.6 GW) of the additions, requiring Rp1,341.8 trillion (US$75 billion) in funding, largely through independent power producer (IPP) schemes.
