Jakarta, Aug. 5 -- Indonesia's economy grew 5.29 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2026, while economic momentum remained strong despite slower growth than the previous quarter, Deputy Finance Minister Juda Agung said on Wednesday.

The remarks followed the release of data by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), which showed gross domestic product (GDP) at constant prices reached Rp3,576.2 trillion in the April-June period, up from Rp3,396.6 trillion a year earlier.

"Growth in the second quarter was slightly lower than in the first quarter, but economic momentum remains strong," Juda said in Jakarta.
