Indonesia's Prabowo urges stronger BIMP-EAGA cooperation
Jakarta, May 7 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto called for stronger regional cooperation to address global challenges at the Brunei Darussalam-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Special Summit in Cebu, the Philippines, on Thursday.
According to the Presidential Secretariat, Prabowo emphasized the need for more adaptive and impactful cooperation, particularly in energy and food security.
He also thanked Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his hospitality and leadership.
"This special summit comes at a very critical time. The challenges we are facing have prompted tighter and more effective collaboration among us," Prabowo remarked.
