Jakarta, May 9 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto expressed support for peace talks between Cambodia and Thailand during the closed-door retreat session of the 48th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, the Philippines, on Friday.

"President Prabowo highlighted the importance of brotherhood and constructive communication, including by encouraging peace talks between Thailand and Cambodia," Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a Presidential Secretariat statement on Saturday.

He added that the president also highlighted the need to improve conditions in Myanmar to maintain stability and harmony in Southeast Asia.
