Kupang, Oct. 7 -- Indonesia's state-owned electricity company PLN has brought light to a remote school in Alor, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), through the SuperSUN electrification program.

Yokanan Tri Kurniawan Pamungkas, Manager of PLN NTT Regional Main Unit, said the program was launched at an elementary school in the Sidabui Village, South Alor Subdistrict.

"SuperSUN, which uses a micro-solar power plant equipped with a battery energy storage system (BESS), is a solution for areas unreachable by conventional electricity grids," he explained on Tuesday.

Pamungkas said the initiative reflects PLN's commitment to expanding access to education and improving the quality of life for people in remote regions.
