Indonesia's oil output 5 percent below 2026 target, ministry says
Badung, Bali, Aug. 26 -- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) said on Wednesday that Indonesia's average crude oil production stood at 578,156 barrels per day (bpd) as of July 31, below the 2026 state budget target of 610,000 bpd.
Director General of Oil and Gas Laode Sulaeman told a hearing with parliament's Commission XII in Jakarta that a leak in a gas transmission pipeline owned by PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia (TGI) had disrupted production at the Rokan Block, one of the factors weighing on output.
"Until July 31, average oil production was at 578,156 barrels per day," he said.
Sulaeman added that problems with the electricity system had also affected operations at the Rokan Block in Riau Province.
