Jakarta, Oct. 9 -- The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) have introduced a new sage green camouflage field uniform, which will be gradually distributed to all military personnel.

"Our command has decided to use the recently unveiled design for the new field uniform of the TNI. We will distribute the fresh attire to all soldiers," TNI Information Office Head Major General Freddy Ardianzah told reporters at the TNI Headquarters in Jakarta on Thursday.

He confirmed that some soldiers are still wearing the older field uniform, defined by a darker green tone. First adopted in 1982, the previous design is known as the Malvinas Camouflage, a reference to the Malvinas, or Falklands, War that occurred that same year.
