Indonesia, July 31 -- Deputy Minister of Forestry Sulaiman Umar Siddiq stated that the Mangroves for Coastal Resilience (M4CR) project represents one of Indonesia's contributions to restoring global ecosystems, including forests, mangroves, and wetlands, to a healthier state.

"This project is a concrete manifestation of Indonesia's commitment to nature-based climate action and a contribution to global ecosystem restoration," Sulaiman told journalists on the sidelines of the opening of the 2025 Mangrove Festival (Mangrofest) at Alas Purwo National Park, Banyuwangi District, East Java, on Wednesday.
