Jakarta, Aug. 26 -- The Indonesian Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating alleged corruption related to the provision of catering services during the Hajj pilgrimage.
"This catering case may not only be related to 2025. We will also check 2024, 2023, and years before that," KPK's Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution, Asep Guntur Rahayu, remarked in Jakarta on Monday (August 25).
He explained that the case is still being handled by the KPK's Directorate of Public Reports and Complaints Services (PLPM) and has not yet reached the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution. If it proceeds to the investigation stage, the agency will focus specifically on alleged corruption in Hajj catering.
