Jakarta, Nov. 5 -- Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported that Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI) rose to 75.90 in 2025, placing the country in the high category.
"This figure reflects an increase of 0.88 points from 75.02 in 2024," Deputy for Balance and Statistical Analysis at BPS, Moh. Edy Mahmud, said during a press conference here on Wednesday.
One of the 2025 HDI components is Life Expectancy at Birth, which stands at 74.47 years, an increase of 0.32 years compared to 2024.
According to BPS, the rise in Life Expectancy at Birth indicates an improvement in public health standards, supported by higher awareness of childbirth in health facilities, the importance of safe drinking water, and better access to healthcare services.
