Jakarta, Oct. 28 -- Indonesia's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has reached 39.2 million beneficiaries with Rp35 trillion (US$2.1 billion) in spending, according to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
After a meeting on the program's regulation finalization on Tuesday, BGN head Dadan Hindayana said 13,347 kitchens - officially called Nutritional Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs) - are currently operating across the country.
He said the forthcoming Presidential Regulation on MBG Program Governance would define institutional coordination and ensure accountability among agencies involved in the program's implementation.
