Jakarta, Aug. 11 -- Indonesia has recorded US$6.25 billion in food and beverage (F&B) exports, ranking among ASEAN's top four exporters in the sector, Deputy Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti said.

The achievement, she said, could be increased further as the Ministry of Trade encourages local F&B producers to expand their international reach by leveraging Indonesia's global trade networks.

"Our F&B exports currently stand at US$6.25 billion. Compared with other ASEAN countries, we rank fourth," Esti said at the Ministry of Trade office in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Indonesia trails Thailand, which leads the region with US$17 billion in F&B exports, followed by Vietnam with US$8.8 billion and Singapore with US$6.5 billion.
