Indonesia's deputy minister arrives at KPK amid graft probe
Jakarta, June 4 -- Deputy Immigration and Corrections Minister Silmy Karim arrived at the KPK headquarters late on Wednesday after the anti-graft agency announced it was seeking him in connection with an immigration corruption sting operation.
Karim arrived at the KPK's Red and White Building in Jakarta at around 10:33 p.m. local time.
Karim said he visited the building after completing earlier activities.
"It's just finishing agendas," he told reporters at the KPK headquarters on Wednesday.
However, he declined to answer journalists' questions regarding the purpose of his visit.
During his arrival, aides accompanying Karim appeared to block and elbow journalists attempting to photograph or interview him.
