Jakarta, Oct. 30 -- Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid stated that Indonesia's data center capacity increased by 52 percent in less than one year under President Prabowo Subianto's administration.

At the beginning of Prabowo's term in October 2024, the national capacity stood at 190 megawatts (MW). The figure rose to 290 MW as of June 2025.

"In less than a year, the capacity increased by more than 52 percent," Hafid said at the 2025 Indonesian Digital Economy Finance Festival (FEKDI) and the Indonesia Fintech Summit and Expo (IFSE) on Thursday.

Hafid said the growth reflects the strong confidence of global technology companies investing in Indonesia's data center development.
