Jakarta, Oct. 14 -- The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has launched 980 Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs) under the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program in underdeveloped, frontier, and outermost (3T) areas, as well as regions with high stunting rates.

The new SPPGs, also known as MBG kitchens, were launched simultaneously across 16 provinces in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Bali, with the main launch event held in Aceh Besar, Aceh, on Wednesday. The rollout follows last week's launch of 480 SPPGs across eastern Indonesia.

"Last week, we activated 480 kitchens in 3T areas and regions with high stunting rates. This week, we are continuing the effort in Bali, Kalimantan, and Sumatra," BGN Head Sudaryono said in a statement.
