Jakarta, March 22 -- Indonesia's National Zakat Agency (Baznas) has set up seven emergency classroom tents in Beit Lahia, North Gaza, to support the education of children displaced by the humanitarian crisis.
Baznas Head Sodik Mudjahid said the initiative reflects the agency's commitment to ensuring children's access to education in emergency situations.
"We want children in Gaza to continue accessing safe learning spaces. These classroom tents are expected to help them keep studying despite the difficulties," he said in a press release on Sunday.
Despite limitations, he said the makeshift classrooms are equipped with desks and chairs to support learning and also provide psychosocial support.
